Bière de Coupage is a French term used to describe the blending of beer, but typically refers to a once common practice of blending old and young beers together. The aim of which was to combine the best characteristics of each beer, particularly the tartness and aromatic complexity of an aged ale, and the vibrancy & freshness of a young hoppy beer.
This blend was a combination of three components:
- 50 % mature saison fermented in a puncheon (10 months old)
- 50 % young saison fermented in two barriques (10 weeks old)
This blend was then dry hopped in stainless w/ Mystic (UK) & Lemondrop (US) at the rate of 4g/L for 72 hours prior to packaging.
Ripe orange, passionfruit and juniper on the nose w/ a lovely integrated funk that reminds us of why we fell in love with brett in the first place. The citrus continues to the palate but more in a stewed context. Driving acid line, rounded bitterness & fluffy carb that keeps you intrigued.

We use Australia Post for most deliveries but also Challenge Logistics for same day deliveries into Melbourne.
What If I Won’t Be Home?
No order will be left unattended unless you authorise us to do so. If you would like the postie to leave the order, then please tell us in the delivery instructions buy saying something like "leave at back door". If there is no one home and no instruction, the courier will leave a card letting you know to pick the parcel up at the nearest post office.
