New Beers - July 7th - CoConspirators

Low BS and hype operators Co-Conspirators (that's why I like 'em) have just released a pair of very handy darks for the cold season.

The vintage dated Imperial Stout 'The Don' sticks to the knitting for 2026 and remains a very powerful beer, weighing in at 12.3% this year. Aged in Starward Whisky barrels, this unapologetically robust Imperial Stout delivers layers of whisky character, dark chocolate, roasted malt and freshly brewed coffee. Rich and full-bodied, it balances barrel complexity with deep malt richness, finishing long, smooth and warming.

Although somewhat milder the 'Rumball in the Jungle' Porter proves to be great fun. Brewery notes as follows"

"Originally brewed as our 2017 GABS Festival beer, Rumball in the Jungle returns as part of our 10-Year Anniversary celebrations.

This rich and decadent porter is brewed in collaboration with Killik Handcrafted Rum, featuring their Gold Rum alongside toasted coconut and cacao nibs. Layers of chocolate, coconut and rum-soaked sweetness are balanced by a smooth malt backbone, creating a dessert-inspired beer with surprising drinkability.

Aged with rum character and packed with flavour, this is a modern porter that punches well above its weight while remaining beautifully balanced."
