This group of 4 is probably the pick of the new beers to have arrived over the pas 2 weeks. All are availble for drink in and take-away from our bar 'The Grape & Hop' and of course are available online until sold out.
King River Brewing's 'Australian Independant IPA' is now an annual release from the brewery. The 2025 was truly excellent (indeed the best IPA we poured last year) and the 2026 has proven to be more of the same. The ABV sneaks up to 7.5% but is well hidden within a calm and balanced palate. Using Certified Sustainable Ryefield Hops, Voyager Artisan Malt and Mogwai labs yeast, the beer gives notes of grapefruit, pineapple, stone fruit and mango on a lean malt base.
We are blessed to have a couple of heavy hitters from Gippsland's Good Land. The Rocketship is a powerful 9.3% DIPA powered by Cryo Nectaron, Centennial Incognito, Galaxy, Citra, Nelson Sauvin Hop Keif, and Simcoe HyperBoost. Layers of tropical fruit, bright citrus, and dank lift collide in a haze that feels both massive and smooth. The Nitro Baby is a collaboration imperial stout built on rich chocolate intensity and conditioned with toasted coconut, vanilla beans, and almonds. Brewed in collaboration with O'Haras Craft Brewery.
Mount Beauty's Mountain Monk has been a regular in our fridge and we recently extended the range with the Dark Ale. Easy going; medium-bodied with dry chocolate and roast.....well worth a look as we head into autumn.
